FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The things people ask us most about Koda.
How do I import a recipe I saw on Instagram or TikTok?
Copy the link to the Reel or video, open Magic Import in Koda and paste it. The AI reads the post’s audio and text, then extracts the ingredients and steps — no retyping needed.
Does it also work with Jow, a recipe blog or YouTube?
Yes. Koda accepts the URL of a Jow page, a YouTube video or most recipe blogs. Paste the link and the AI does the rest.
How does Koda handle my family’s allergens?
Create a profile for each member of the household with their allergens. Koda automatically flags incompatible recipes: all 14 EU regulated allergens are covered.
Can I share the grocery list with my partner?
Yes. A shared household syncs the list in real time across the family’s phones: everyone adds or checks off items, and everyone sees the update instantly.
Can I add items that aren’t part of a recipe (hygiene, cleaning)?
Of course. Your Koda list holds the whole basket: add your hygiene, cleaning, baby or pet products by hand. “Home Essentials” go further — set a frequency and those recurring items come back on the list automatically at the right time.
Does Koda work offline?
Your lists, recipes and plans stay available offline. AI recipe import does require a connection, since the analysis runs on the server.
How many AI imports are included for free?
The free plan includes 3 AI recipe imports every month. Premium (€2.99/month or €19.99/year) unlocks unlimited imports.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can delete your account and all of your data at any time from the app’s settings, under “Account”. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Is Koda available on Android?
Koda is currently available on iPhone. A web version is on the way, and Android will follow. In the meantime, you can open the web app from any browser.
